Froggy Bottom Guitars – Raffle Fundraiser almost there…

As of the time of this posting there are only 250 of 1400 tickets left in the raffle to win a one-of-a-kind blues guitar, made by master maker Michael Millard. As a life-long martial artist, who was inspired by an aikido demonstration he witnessed as a youth, Michael is grateful to have this opportunity to share this gift in support of the Shobu community. His generosity is helping to keep Gleason Sensei’s instruction going, during a time of great upheaval and uncertainty, and helps insure that the tradition of Shobu Aikido continues into the future.

Shobu Aikido Vermont Covid-19 Response

In response to state and local guidelines, as well as out of concern for our members, their families and communities, Shobu Aikido Vermont has reorganized regular classes, to modify practice parameters and facilitate compliance with state guidelines. Distancing and masking are important tools of self defense. We have also organized an “online dojo” to help us continue with our training as is required.

There is no true replacement for paired practice on the mat, and the Uke/Nage training relationship, but we believe that we can provide a path for continued self training, and group study through this challenging time. Currently our Tuesday class takes place online, and is may be led by Trzaskos Sensei, Gleason Sensei, or another instructor from the Shobu family.

If you are interested in joining, please use the contact form below and introduce yourselves to us, and we’ll get back in touch with you.
